9/29/2017 0 Comments apple pickingIts a fall tradition, I have been going every year for 25 years! Honey Pot Hill Orchard in Stowe has become my families go to location. Year after year we are never disappointed.
My personal favorite part of the day the are the donuts and the maze. This year at Honey Pot they opened a new maze that was MASSIVE. We did not do the maze this year because even though we went in the end of September, the first official weekend of fall, it felt more like the middle of summer. The temp was in the high 70s low 80s and it was HOT. It was a different experience apple picking in the heat, usually we are comfortable in a sweatshirt to start later walking around in jeans and a tee. No not this year, we were sweating our way through the day, but still having a good time!

9/10/2017 0 Comments Sunday feelsSunday seems to roll around every week at about this time. Sunday scaries are such a real thing, but I also very much enjoy Sundays. They have a slower feel to them, especially now that the fall weather is setting in. Sundays are filled with football, softball, staying in bed, napping, food and laundry. Its a recovery day and a prep day all rolled into one.
So even though the Sunday scaries do eventually set in, before that I take the day slow and soak in the easiness before the craziness of the week begins! |
