3/14/2017 0 Comments Bachelor Recap weeks 10 & 11Last week was a bit crazy and somehow I did not get around to writing about the hour episode and the men tell all. So now I am going to try and recap SIX hours of the bachelor.
Second hour of fantasy suites: So we open with the end of his and Ravens fantasy suite date. To say the least Raven seemed happy and content with the night’s events. Rachel’s Date Again they seemed to have such a nice time and if the bachelor franchise did not screw up the time line and let us all know that she is the next bachelorette I would have had some hope for her and Nick. After she told him she was falling in love with him, he said that he was falling for her too. The next morning Nick made her breakfast and Rachel wore a penguin onesie. Where did they go wrong? Vanessa’s date. I mean if you want a fantasy date doesn’t jumping in freezing cold water then running to a sauna sound like it? Um I think not. I think it is the perfect recipe for a cold. They also got to wear matching bathing suits, twinning. Vanessa has a strong personality and their time in the hot tub made it seem like she was not willing to budge on her day to day life, especially Sunday afternoon lunches with her whole family. When her and Nick are struggling to decide where to live, I don’t think weekly lunches in Canada will work living in the good old US of A! Rose Ceremony: Obviously Rachel had to go home, if not then we would have known the winner. Yet I was still slightly shocked when her name did not get called, their date just went so well. Well she is on to 25 (I think) lucky men Women tell all: Truth be told, the tell all episodes are my least favorite of the season. I don’t think that I am alone in this. It is usually just a bunch of people talking over each other and fighting. Then there is always that one person who got sent home early that for some reason thinks that they have a reason to speak up now! Women in the hot seat: Liz – she is more than just a one nighter with Nick (at Jade and Tanners wedding if you had not heard) Taylor – She’s upset because actions on the show hurt her career and she wants and apology from Corinne. I think being a mental health counselor for relationship and going on the bachelor says enough for itself. Corinne – As much as she annoyed me and I knew she was not the one for Nick, you cannot fault a girl for just being herself and giving zero fucks. She also explained the “nanny” title, she really is more of a housekeeper or maid but Corinne does not feel like that title encompasses all that Raquel is to her. It was sweet. Kristina – she talked about her past again and everyone loves her and I see great things in her future. Nick came out and he was nervous but I mean who would not be nervous when being greeted by a bunch of women that he has recently dumped? But Nick held his own and handled himself with as much class as possible. Bring out the bachelorette – everyone loves Rachel including the other girls from this season. That says a lot to me that they are all so genuinely happy and hopeful for her. Week 11 – another three hours to absorb Time to meet Nicks family. Raven has already met Nicks parents and sister Bella on their first date. They all love her and thinks that she is such a sweet girl, which I mean come on who could not like Raven (maybe don’t let mom see the last episode of her dancing though the streets). Time for Vanessa to meet the fam, her interactions were a lot less happy go lucky and a bit more serious and concerning. I feel like they always make the winners interaction with the family look bad. Nick and Vanessa’s last date was rough to say the least. Well before things got bad they rode horses through the snow and met Santa! Santa gave her a gift of a wooden carving of the two of them, if they did not end up together this would have been an awkward present. Then things took a turn for the worst. She was not sure if she was going to accept the proposal and did not feel confident in the fact that there was still another person in this process. Nick spent the time trying to console her. Final date with Raven, they went ice skating and just enjoyed their time together. Then they sat by a fire hanging out and Nick brought over puppies! I about died of cuteness overload. Raven asked him how he was doing and how he was handling all that is happening. She is more concerned for how he is doing and having faith in their relationship. Nick said that Raven was the sincerest person that he has met. I was seeing some glimpses of hope for these two. Proposal: Raven gets out of the limo first, so she’s getting dumped. Nick was hurt doing it (I mean he knows how she feels he’s been there twice) Raven handled it with so much grace, made me love that girl even more. Now to the proposal. My biggest observation was that she had on red shiny lipstick in one take and then the next it was gone. It was prob too messy for the smooching! Overall I am happy for Nick and Vanessa and hope that they work out. After the final rose: I like after the final rose I feel like they kept it moving. We saw Nick, then Nick and Raven who only had the best of wishes for Nick and Vanessa. We also learned that she will be on bachelor in paradise this summer and I could not be more excited! Then Vanessa came out saying that she is ready to just be normal with Nick and they are still getting to know each other. I feel like they are being realistic and taking it slow to make it work. Then we get to see Vanessa and Nick, they are going to live in LA and she is really excited to be able to support him while he is on Dancing with the Stars. Then the shocking moment, Rachel comes out and Chris surprised us and her by saying that the bachelorette starts now. Four men came out to meet Rachel that will be on her season. It was a bit awkward because they did not know where to go and I was not impressed by any of the entrances. I did hear that the season starts in less than 70 days so let the countdown begin!
