I started getting some acne, nothing in comparison to some I have seen, but it was worse than I have ever experienced. Fortunately I never really had acne in high school so I never really learned how to deal with it. In college I would get the occational pimple here or there but nothing major. It was also not due to my great skin care regiment, it was just genetics and pure luck. Well this past fall my skin took a turn from the worst. The picture on the left is in good lighting and I have some makeup on. I have a really hard time not picking at things so normally any small pimple I get I can turn into a scab like you can see above, I had that scab for close to a month. The picture on the right is no makeup and I would say is one of the worst pictures I can find of my skin. I don't like to take a lot of picture when my skin is bad, like everyone, but skiing with my best friend who now lives across the country called for a selfie! So here a few products I have started to use that have helped. So while I was dealing with my face and not being happy looking the way it was, my mom got to listen to me complain about it. She also saw me trying a bunch of different washes and masks. For Christmas she got me the Clarisonic Mia 2 and I am obsessed with it. Thanks Mom! What I love most about it that is is water proof so I can leave it in the shower. I don't like washing my face out of the shower it makes to much of a mess and never works like it does in the commercials. So the fact that I can just leave this brush in the shower is such a major win! I went ahead and bought the acne brush head and wash to go along with the Mia 2 for times that I feel some pimples coming on.
The Origins VitaZing I use every morning, and most days I don't need to any other facial makeup. It is light and makes my face feel hydrated. My latest obsession is with the L'Oreal Pure Clay Mask collection. I have tried the red algae and charcoal one and the eucalyptus is next on my list. These go on smooth and dry fast. Then they are really easy to wash of and your face feels like a baby's bottom after!
