2/25/2018 0 Comments Winter GamesDid you think I meant the Winter Olympics??
No, I am talking about the Bachelor Winter Games. I have been watching the Winter Olympics but those would be sooo much to cover and on topics that I am not a professional in. I like to think that I am a professional when it comes to the Bachelor Franchise. When it came time for the Winter Games I was really excited. A new type of show and they actually have to do something other than run around in bathing suits. I mean they still walked around in bathing suits for the hot tub but it was coolddddd in Vermont. But damn most of these people could not handle any winter sport. I guess I never realized how many people could not ice skate or even stand in skis! I enjoyed the international aspect but like mentioned in one of Ashley I and Ben Higgins podcasts the international couples were not focused on like the U.S couples. The U.S couples or couples that had someone from the U.S were more prominently featured because the viewers had the history with them. There was a language barrier for some of the contestants but Yuki the one with the strongest language barrier became and instant fan and cast member favorite. The language barrier did make it hard for those contestants to find "love" but it added new element to the show and gave people new options! Watching the Winter Games was a commitment 4 hours a week!! Damn. It was definitely a DVRed show so that I could get through it faster. I felt that this show was different than other ones in the franchise. This one did not have a "villain" and the even when two people were interested in the same person no one was nasty about it. It seemed like everyone got along, which was a nice change of events for this franchise. This show also became about the couples really quick. I was shocked when I found out that they were only there for 10 days. That is so short, not even two weeks! But I guess when you are spending 24 hours together 10 days can feel like a long time. Even though it was only 10 days I feel like we did not see a lot of footage. I would have enjoyed seeing everyone hanging out at the house more. Another thing that was different about this show was that I really like the couples that came out of it. Without factoring in that I am just really happy for Ashley I for finally finding a nice guy that feels the same was back. I really am just an overall fan of them all. I think these couples might actually work in the real world (at least for a few months...). I liked that Dean was able to redeem himself from Bachelor in Paradise and that Leslie put him in his place. The international couple Courtney and Lilly are just adorable and to me, they scream a 90's real-world couple. I'm not sure why but I love it and they just seem like so much fun. And finally Clare and Benoit. I really want this to work out for Clare and Benoit seems very genuine. Okay now off to watch the Women Tell All for this season of the Bachelor. I am not a big Arie fan so I didn't even want to do recaps. I might have accidentally read a spoiler on Instagram. And the spoiler makes me even more annoyed about this season. My vote is Tia for the bachelorette! (Yes I stalked Instagram for the pictures below)
